Despite Charlie the dog having chewed up one of my gifts and other silly moments, I know this is going to be a great Christmas holiday with my family. We're a weird bunch, but I'm sure everyone feels the same way about their own families. Regardless, when we come together our weirdness just works and we have a heck of a lot of fun.
And while I do miss Tobie (and I can't wait for the day when he'll be part of these gatherings), at least technology has been pretty awesome in giving us new ways to stay connected despite the distance. Thus we have messages flying back and forth whether as Google Hangout posts or WeChat audio clips and a slew of pictures flying across the internet. These are truly amazing times for global communications, and I'm not even on roaming.
