01688: Friday, Demon, Friday

"Demon Army" by Veli "Vablo" Nyström
It has been a while since I've written anything so I figured I might as well take a stab at this older Flash Fiction challenge from Check Wendig - Horror in Three Sentences. It's way too late for the deadline, but any reason to write is a good thing.

Here goes:

The world has been overrun by all sorts of dark creatures - demons, monsters, and other foul beasts. It is only a matter of time before the last of the ragtag armies of man will fall to the Dark. They were once my brethren, but now I must follow the Dark and bring them under His thrall.

Not much, but I liked the flow.

I really need to work on my horror writing.

I really need to get back on the cooking wagon, so to speak. Given my weird illnesses over the past two weekends, I haven't been particularly motivated to cook all that much. That much is clear based on the fact that we're out of a lot of the quick consumables here at the Sietch like bread, hotdogs, instant pancit canton and dory fillets. They're the stuff that are easier to cook and thus have gone the way of the dodo much faster.

There are other ingredients still in the fridge that could be used for more interesting dishes - should I get the motivation to cook again. At least I'm finally starting to feel better for real, it seems. So I think there's still enough time to salvage the last week of the month with some decent home-cooked meals.

But that may have to wait for tomorrow or something. Bah.
