01669: Random Weather Musings

Whether you follow the official government weather bureau reports or you try to us various web-based or mobile app weather services, you'll find that it's horribly difficult to predict the weather around here. And I don't think it's just about a lack of sufficient equipment (although more will always help) since we see the same disparity among international weather services and apps that draw data from international sources. Tropical weather is just crazy that way.

Just now we started it with things being all sunny at the top of the hour but now it looks all gloomy and overcast again just half an hour later. And I'm sure we're going to have pockets of sunny moments soon enough with no discernible way to predict when that will be precisely.

It was raining cats and dogs last night, but Tobie was nice enough to drive me to work and brave the weather. Work is work is work and there was no avoiding it given all our deadlines going on. At least it wasn't raining by the time I went home. But how the weather will be tonight is anyone's guess. I'm hoping it won't rain again - I accidentally left my umbrella at the office.

There's not much else to be said really. The weather sucks. And no matter what the weather is right now, someone is going to be happy about it while someone else will be annoyed by it. It's that one topic that everyone can talk about since we're all subject to it but folks can't quite agree with how to take it. People are funny that way.
