My Monday night shift was pretty busy and Tuesday wasn't much better. But work is work and I suppose once can't really complain about being busy - it's just part of the whole routine. And you have to admit, there's a bit of a rush that one feels at the end of the day when you realize just how much you've gotten done in a single shift.
At the moment I think it's safe to say that we're about halfway done with tasks that were on our plate at the start of the week and things should get progressively better as things move forward. I remain rather optimistic in terms of my future in this regard. Of course I know that the satisfaction will be momentary - just as it looks like things are becoming clear, I know new tasks will come along to take their place.
Despite the busy work days, it's not exactly easy to get some rest by the time I get home. There are now two major construction sites around our condominium building - one is the new condo being built right outside our window while the other is a new STI campus at the corner. Thankfully that's beyond our immediate view, however I have no doubt that the sounds of that construction just add to the grand symphony playing outside. We've resorted to keeping the bedroom windows closed in order to muffle the noise, but that can only do so much.
And there still a bunch of other things that I want to do - I just nee to find the time to get them done. Or perhaps I just need to make new time somehow. And that's a puzzle of its own.
