So I'm past my 12-hour mark here at the office and I'm pretty much waiting for the folks to get back from their business lunch so we can get this party started. I wasn't supposed to be a part of today's festivities, but one thing led to another and I found myself back in the driver's seat. Oh joy.
I'm tired and I feel underdressed for this meeting (that I was sure yesterday that I wasn't going to attend) but here I am. I just feel irked that I wasn't able to catch Tobie at home before he leaves for work. That's just not fun at all.
But it comes with the territory - these little last-minute schedule changes and related task hiccups. I'll get through this one way or another, I'm sure.
I just hope that I don't fall asleep in the middle of the presentation.
