0153E: Theater Sunday

Just got home from a nice little theater afternoon with Tobie. We had made the trek to Makati to watch the 9 Works Theatrical staging of They're Playing Our Song. It was the last show in the run, which naturally led to higher emotions for the cast and crew although the play did come across as not as polished as a potential result of things. It was still fun, but both Tobie and I felt there were a lot of things that could have been done better. I'll have a lengthier review out on the Geeky Guide by Thursday or something.

Admittedly I ended up feeling a lot happier because of our dinner plans versus the play itself. Given we were already more southern than normal, we ended up heading over to Nemoto Japanese Restaurant further down Buendia. This has become quite the old little haunt for me since I've been going here since the Brian days - something that Tobie did quip about in terms of it becoming a restaurant for my exes or something along those lines.

I will always feel that Nemoto has some of the best quality bento meals that are ridiculously filing and decently priced in the P300+ range inclusive of miso soup and a drink Today I was in the mood for Ebi Tempura and thus got this particular menu item. We also had a tray of maguro sashimi, which was promptly served and quite fresh. The restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but that sort of helps protect it from too many customers, in my opinion. I think I've only introduced the restaurant to relationship partners and particularly close friends. It's just one of those things I suppose.

Lastly, Tobie introduced me to the iOS game, The Room, which is a nice little puzzle game that reminds me a lot of older games like Myst and The 7th Guest. It's a delightful little brain-teaser, although it did end up making me "lose" quite a chunk of time as I worked through the first two chapters of the game.

It's a Sunday, so that means that we may or may not end up at O Bar Ortigas again tonight. It's still early yet, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
