My brain is sort of out of it right now so I'll defer a lengthy blog post today and will instead rely on two quotes to guide me through the day. They're not perfectly appropriate - no quote perfectly fits a situation unless you crafted it yourself. But they sort of hit the mark for today, or at least touch on where my thoughts are.
Quotes:
The Litany Against Fear- Dune, Frank Herbert
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
True love, like any other strong and addicting drug, is boring --- once the tale of encounter and discovery is told, kisses quickly grow stale and caresses tiresome.... except, of course, to those who share the kisses, who give and take the caresses while every sound and color of the world seems to deepen and brighten around them. As with any other strong drug, true first love is really only interesting to those who have become its prisoners.- Wizard and Glass, Stephen King
And, as is true of any other strong and addicting drug, true first love is dangerous.
Focus is next to impossible right now. But things are getting better, finally.
Scary day. But there's still hope beyond the horizon.
Oh, and visited a great potential house. Fingers crossed. Financing will be a pain, but this may be worth the effort. I know I've said it before, but I really feel this may be the one this time around.
